Because puffy eyes, red cheeks, and itchy skin are not the vibe this season.

I love spring—birds chirping, sunshine creeping back in, long walks with the dogs (okay, some dogs behave better than others)—but let’s be real: allergy season is a whole thing. If you’ve ever looked in the mirror mid-April and thought, “Why do I look like I’ve been crying since 2004?”... you are not alone. Redness, puffiness, dry patches, surprise breakouts—it’s like your skin joins forces with pollen and turns against you.
The good news? With a few tweaks to your skincare routine, your face doesn’t have to suffer just because the trees are blooming.
Here’s a simple, allergy-friendly skincare routine that calms, hydrates, and helps you glow—even when the pollen count is out of control.
Step 1: Use a Gentle Cleanser
Spring skin is already on edge—don’t make it angrier with harsh or foamy cleansers. Choose something fragrance-free with calming ingredients like aloe, chamomile, or oats.

Step 2: Hydrate Like It's Your Job
Pollen + wind + tissues = moisture loss. Replenish with a hydrating serum (think hyaluronic acid), then seal it in with a non-greasy moisturizer.
Pro tip: Store your moisturizer in the fridge for extra de-puffing power.
Step 3: Soothe, Don't Scrub
As you know, I'm a big fan of exfoliation. But when you are battling irritated skin, it's best to skip the exfoliation and soothe your skin instead. Look for calming ingredients like niacinamide or green tea. These help reduce redness and support your skin barrier.
Bonus: Some double as primers—saving you time and irritation.
Step 4: Never Skip SPF
Spring sun is sneaky! Use a mineral-based SPF with zinc oxide or titanium dioxide—especially important for inflamed or sensitive skin.
👉 I’ve got a few favorites that don’t leave a white cast—just ask!
Step 5: Go Waterproof Where It Counts
Tears? Tissues? Humidity? All the more reason to switch to long-lasting makeup.Smudge-proof lip color, waterproof mascara, and a reliable setting spray = allergy season lifesavers.
SeneGence products are my MVPs when it comes to staying put.
